Hi, everyone! I am a court reporter

In my free time, what there is of it
(When not reading deposition transcripts),
I just try to read as often as possible, since there's
just nothing else like it!
I love fiction--20th century literature and
have recently started reading more modern... more »

I hope you find it, I think they replay on Hulu? Tina Fey went psycho nutty over him and I totally understood. ;)
Seeing as how you like the 50's era, have you seen Reservation Road yet? It's on my TBW list but I never made it to theatre to see it.

Thanks for the recommendation, I just added it to my wish list, sounds very interesting. Speaking of memoirs, I just picked up The Burn Journals today, have you read it?

The Killing Circle was just an ok read. It was a story of a man who wanted to become an author. He joins a writing group and people in the group mysteriously are being murdered. The Monsters of Templeton was a good book about a girl who comes back to her home town and delves into the town's history to find out who her father was. It was very interesting. Enjoy

Thanks for the friend request. Nice to have you on my list. Unfortunately I did not read the Brooklyn Follies. I mistakenly put in on my list as read, but I have it in my to be read list. Hope we can share books we like!! Take care and yes that is my puppy. She is a joy.

Hi! Thanks for the friendship request, gladly accepted. I LOVED both Devil in the White City and Atlas Shrugged. Devil in the White City is a little shorter and easier read. I live in Chicago so I was able to visit some of the statues and buildings that are referenced in the book. Atlas Shrugged is a true classic and I loved the philisophical aspect of it. Another book by Ayn Rand that is also worth a read it The Fountainhead. In fact I would say that all three of these books are MUST reads. Both of the Rand novels are epics. I will be interested to hear what you though of them!

LOL that is too funny. I have that book on my shelf at home. I'm just about to start something different, but as soon as I get home from work I will grab it so I could start it later in the week. As a former food service industry employee myself I think I will enjoy it. I will let you know. Have a good week.

I was just thinking of you this morning. I was 140 pages in on Sophie's Choice and I had to throw in the towel. It was like watching paint dry. I guess I will just get the movie...lol. Have a nice day.

I have it on the shelf to be read, but truthfully it may take a while. I received many books for the holiday so I will probably try to get to those first. If you couldn't do it I'm not sure if I will start it now.

People seem to remember me, even though I changed my screen name too. Although, I'm not nearly as active on shelfari as I used to be or as much as I would like to be. Hmm, I wonder what Knut looks like too now that you mention it, think I'll google him. ;)
