Yet another sequel in the Shadow series which is a the sequel to the Ender's Game novels. You need to start with Ender's game, and you'll get here soon enough. It is good solid Orson Scott Card and well worth reading in the series.

As always, Card writes in a way that makes the book very easy to pick up and very hard to put down. This is one of the many sequels to Ender's Game, so you will want to start there. This looks at the very relevant question of what to do with the army commanders after the war is over. Alan Dean Foster's "The Damned" series also takes a good look at this question.

Good sequel to the Ender/Bean stories and very relevant to current times. I find Card to be very readable in almost all of his books (except the Alvin series) and highly recommend reading him. But start with Ender's Game, it is the book that all of the sequels are based on and this one falls pretty far down the line.

Didn't care for this series, but I was young when I read them. Perhaps they are worth another look? They are kind of an Adam and Eve set in a sci-fi setting.

This was an unusual book, with a strange sort of a matrix-like connection in it, as well as some interesting pyschological aspects. A little different that Sawyer's usual stories, but then again all of his stories are a little different. Overall, if you like his other works I'd recommend this. As you can see, I am a fan of his writing.

I liked this one but will warn you that it is not a standalone. It is part of a series and it is in the middle of the series. I am going to go back and check out more of his writing now. Basically, a guy can teleport himself from one place to another just by thinking about it. He has provided services for the government, but only when he felt he was doing good. He is kidnapped (there are some limitations to his teleportation) and his wife has to help the govt find him. Not a bad read if you are into this sort of thing.

This is dated, and simply not up to par for Wilson's later works like Chronoliths. I don't recommend this book. Very dry characters that you have a hard time caring for and the whole thing feels like 1950's sci-fi - in a bad way!

This is truly one of the driest, most boring and pathetic books I have read. I really don't get the positive reviews. Not even a little. I have yet to see anyone explain why they thought this was interesting in a way that I could understand either... to each his own I suppose.

The followup to Orphanage. This is much along the lines with Starship Troopers by Heinlein. It has the feel of 1950's sci-fi. An enjoyable read, but not great.
