Married bookworm living in Daytona Beach, FL. My husband and I are both avid readers. I lean more towards fiction; he reads more biographical and inspirational type books. I have been a voracious reader for as long as I can remember. I read from every genre imaginable, but historical fiction is actually my favorite.

I was attracted to this book solely by the title, as there is actually a Bait and BBQ back where I grew up. I wound up reading this book in just a couple of nights. It's a light, fun, and charming read with strong themes of redemption, forgiveness, family, friendship, and community.

It was a struggle for me to get into this book. However, about halfway through, it took a turn for the interesting. I found the lesson in nephilim to be very interesting, and I wound up enjoying this book in the end.

It's been awhile since I have read this book. Years, in fact, and it's a stretch of my memory to remember the details of the story. However, I do remember that I had a hard time getting into but once I *did* get into it, I was very glad I stuck with it.

I listened to this book on a road trip recently and really enjoyed it. The narrator was a little over the top but that made the story all the more engaging for me. The story is well written, light, and really funny. I laughed out loud in several places. It made a great trip companion. :)

I love this book. I found it witty, engaging, and completely charming. I love the Marquez's lush, picturesque style. I hope the movie does it justice.

Well written but not very believable. I had a really hard time sticking with this book. I managed to finish it, but it took 3 weeks to do so, and I believe it was only about 300 pages.

Very predictable but quite a fun little read. Makes great summertime by the pool escapism. :)

I think that every singleton should read this book. I read it in one afternoon back when I was single and found it to be rather liberating. I recommend it to all my single girlfriends now.

I picked this book up based on the synopsis on the back, not even realizing that it was a YA book. The book is very well written and does not read at all like a YA book. The author has also written an amazing book here: it's a beautiful story of the purest love with mystery, intrigue, and excitement thrown in as well. I'm very pleasantly surprised by this book and have now invested in the rest of the trilogy...even though I'm 40! I can't wait to see what kind of challenges Edward and Bella face next.

I was sorely disappointed in this book. It had the potential to be a fascinating read, however, the parts of interest were lightly skimmed over and leaving me asking why? and how? I will say I did enjoy the chapter where she put Tim Matheson in his place. For the bulk of the book, however, it seemed to me that Ms. Alley was/is desperate to be perceived as a sex symbol rather than an intriguing, intelligent, and funny woman.
