Not a lot to tell. I live a quiet life - work full time and take care of my mother full time. I live in Daytona Beach, and am still looking for a good book club here. I read from every genre imaginable, what I read reflects my mood at the moment, however, historical fiction and urban fantasy are favorites. :) I also love movies, I listen to... more »

Hi from Daytona as well! Have you read any good books lately? I just finished the Chelsea Cain series and it was awesome! It's was a bit gory but I read just about anything. I usually have books waiting to be read but I'm officially out of ideas. Guess it's time to go browse Barnes & Noble for a couple hours. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

    Hi,

Noticed you liked The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my novel since it has been compared to The Heart is . . . by a number of reviewers. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

    Hi truvy,

Well, one thing we have in common! I take care of my elderly mother too. It's a lot of work, huh? And I write erotica historical and paranormal full time so I have my hands full.

Thank you for friending me. Please stop by my web site and enter my contest to win free books. I gie them away every month. http://www.kcelestebryan.com. My erotica novel WHERE THE RAIN IS MADE has done very well here on Goodreads with five star review. It's a time-travel historical.

Once again, thank you for friending me. You live in sunny Florida and I live in cold Minnesota. Where is spring and where are my flowers?

    Best for now, Kat

Dear Truvy: I hope you don't mind a biased recommendation. I am an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING was published in April. If you enjoy reading a good thriller, you might like HUNTING. The novel revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother’s death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Now an archaeologist, she has been recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to discover whatever or whoever is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As an observant Catholic, she is scared that whatever she finds will have devastating consequences for her faith. There is a wonderful YouTube book trailer well worth watching if you have the chance. Hello Truvy1999, Barbara Dorsi is the new author of the new rather controversial book entitled "Trapped by Islam" which is available to buy at the following link - www.lulu.com/content/3524240 . The book is based on her family's story and it brings to the fore the question do mixed faith marriages work? It raises other issues around the misinterpretation of the Koran and how that leads to the abuse of women and children. It touches on the hypocracy that comes with that misinterpretation as well as the issues around multiple and arranged marriages using sharia law.
Please check it out and Barbara would love to hear from you. Many thanks.
