I have been a voracious reader for as long as I can remember. I read from every genre imaginable, but historical fiction is actually my favorite.

    Hello Truvy1999, Barbara Dorsi is the new author of the new rather controversial book entitled "Trapped by Islam" which is available to buy at the following link - www.lulu.com/content/3524240 . The book is based on her family's story and it brings to the fore the question do mixed faith marriages work? It raises other issues around the misinterpretation of the Koran and how that leads to the abuse of women and children. It touches on the hypocracy that comes with that misinterpretation as well as the issues around multiple and arranged marriages using sharia law.

    Hey girl! Whatcha been up to? We moved from Las Vegas to San Antonio this summer, and we are finally settled and the girls started school yesterday! My littlest one is in Kindergarten, so for the first time in years I have all day to my self! WOOT! I am planning to get in better shape, finish some quilts, and READ! :-) I am about halfway through the last of the Dark Tower series (Stephen King) and have enjoyed that a lot. I've always been a King fan! I read them all in order, though, so it feels like I've been reading the same story for months! Hope you are well, Jen

    Well, just dropping you a quick note, updating you on how I've been. It's been far too long since our last note exchange. I miss our visits. I'm moving into the college dorm this afternoon, though, and classes start for me on Tuesday, so I don't know how often I'll be on Shelfari for the next couple weeks. I don't know how often I'll be on at all, actually. I'll try to check up on new notes once a week or so, though.

    Other than that, my summer job finished up. Nothing much else new with me, though. I'll talk to you later. Try to keep in contact through Myspace, OK? I don't know how much I'll be on there in the next few weeks, but I'll try to be.
