I think I discovered I loved reading when I was in 7th grade or something. We used to have this ‘Zero session’ where we were allowed to do anything we wanted to.
I used to escape to the library to read, even if I only read Nancy Drew’s then. I used to grab the opportunity to help the librarian whenever she asked someone to volunteer. I guess I loved being near books, the touch, the smell, everything.
I love to read biographies, autobiography’s, memoirs, basically real life stories. I like reading romance novels, Chick Lit including an occasional Mills and Boon.
My friends and family know very well not to disturb me when I am reading something. I end up ignoring everything around me. Just the other day my sis remarked,’Oh, so your book is more important to you than me.’ I mean, whatever, I ignore the remarks too.
My favorite pastime at work is reading blogs and also reading book reviews on Amazon. I can spend hours and hours on it. Oh, did I tell you I am a Software Engineer?
Previously, when I was in college I could finish a book in 3-4 hours flat. But now I take at least 1week. Time constraints. How I wish I could get those days back.
I love bookstores, I can browse for hours. You can find me there on Weekend afternoons.
The books on my wish list are the ones I would really love to read. Also feel free to recommend me any book.
By the way I cover all my books with a transparent plastic cover. Is that crazy? Never mind.
And yes, If you add me, please leave me a note. « less
