    Dave,

    Do yourself one of the biggest readership favors you can do yourself - Keep reading. I'm not one to plug anything. But as I read the story, I began relating to Santiago a lot in terms of what has gone in my life, and where I'm still looking to go with it. Most often these books I just pass by. Honest - I go, "yeah, maybe I'll read that" to someone with a promo, knowing I probably never will. However, this one is a gem. No doubt. So my recommendation is to take the time of day to really imagine the story as you read (maybe a quiet spot or s.t., where you can tune out other distractions for reading sessions), and you may find it provides more gifts than the admission price.
