Before I get to the "official" bio, I have to say I'm ADDICTED to books. It would take me forever to list all of them on Shelfari. But I did put the books I wrote under my "favorites" ... just to make them easy to be found! (And there are my other real favorites listed, too.)

I love fiction, parenting, marriage, and Christian life... more »

Hi, Tricia! Thanks for the invite--nice to meet you! (How'd you get my addy? :) I'm still trying to figure out how to invite people without one...) I look forward to checking out some of your books--particularly the ones you've authored!

Thanks for your note. Actually, the VA has interviewed my father as part of a program for interviewing veterans. My father has also archived all of his material. He is very involved in vererans affairs. I teach high schoo English and I have him talk to my kids every year. They really enjoy it.

    Hi,

I also love books about WWII. I had a great experience two years ago with my father. He is a WWII vet and we went to Belgium and Luxembourg for the 60th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. He was is the 1st Division during the Hurtgen Forest and the Bulge. The people there treated us great. Have you read The Bitter Woods by Eisenhower's son? It is a great book about The Battle of the Bulge. Although I love historical works on WWII, I think that WWI produced better literature. Just my opinion though.

Tricia, I have not , as of yet, read any of your books, but I am going to get Night Song and read it first. It sounds like one I can use in the classroom when I discuss the Holocaust. I teach English/Language Arts and Reading to grades 6-12. I will let you know what I think of it. :)
