    Do not seek me outside;
    I abide in your very life.

    PERFECT Halloween reading! :)

    Our book club is reading Wrack and Ruin, by Don Lee, which I like very much.

    Just happy to be Ike-less down here in SWFL.

    :)

    Well, I tried to update my profile a bit but I didn't add any books. I really don't want to get into a competitive thing, although I often find myself trapped into it. I am naturally competitive, but I am trying to relax this summer as I sit here biting my acrylic fingernails waiting for my AP scores----arggghhh. Have heard only from one kid, who called in to get his scores.

    I've barely started it so don't know yet. Have read All the Pretty Horses and his previous latest book, A Country of Old Men. What do you think of it. If I didn't spend so much time on the list serve, I might have more time to read. I've only posted one book on the shelf, as I really don't understand what we are to do here. Perhaps you can explain.

    Hi, Donna! I actually think The Painted Bird was worse than The Road. I guess because I knew it was based on true experiences as opposed to the purely fictional Road. I've never read The Tattooed Girl and will have to add that to my wish list...

    Donna, my hero(ine)!

    I adore that picture. I need to get me a hat like that. Hats make the world just a little more fun.

    I have never read the Sue Grafton series. Maybe I'll order the first one on amazon.com today!

    This was my first year of AP Lit., and I am anxiously awaiting scores!

    Yes, Donna, I am on the listserv. I love your picture, reminds me of Daytona. I was a newbie language reader this year. What an experience!

    HI, Donna.
    Zen and the Art of Writing is a series of essays about writing. More of a feel-good encouragement book than anything technical. One of my college profs gave it to me when I graduated. It's a quick, easy read with a lot of autobio stuff about Bradbury.
