    Hey Treal,
didn't realize you were in Texas, were practically neighbors...LOL Life is ....well ......Life right now.......... it's fine but when things get hectic it's hard doing everything by yourself! My garden is doing GREAT!!!!! weve had a good bit of rain of late which has made all my seedling happy..... it has made all my weeds REALLY happy unfortunately so I got to go see if I can start hacking away at a few of those... reading is intermittent right now due to end of school... sinus infection and al-sorts of other stuff. Anyway hope you are well. I would consider working in a library bitter sweet... all those fantastic books that you cannot just sit down and read because of other duties!!!!!!!!

    Hey treal,
200 books so far eh, thats pretty good and we are only half way through this year, sounds like your on the right track! I loved Tolkien, the the other worldly realms he takes you too and fantastic. Peter Jackson really did them justice I think in his recent epic trilogy, but the Howard Shore soundtracks were pretty amazing too. I have not done too much reading getting my chorus ready for our music festival, we performed yesterday and did very well, so now maybe I can get back to some degree of normality! I'm still tired today all day in an amusement park with 44 kiddies takes it's toll, maybe i'm just getting to old...LOL
Sorry to hear about the dogglie restrictions, but sometimes reading about them can be a great substitute. I want to read marley and me, but i'm also afraid to because I don;t know about the ending, and if animals are involved....well...you know what I mean !!!!!
Must go do some gardening, this extra hot spel were having is having an adverse affect on my seedlings and I think my rose is suffering too.
    Catch ya later mate.

Absolutely, hey I think the 500 is a very noble goal, be positive and maybe it will just all work out, you havent set yourself to only read books the size of war and peace or anything like that have you??? LOL
For a bit of fun The Reluctant Tuscan is fine, I love history especially of the medieval kind so 1215 is really great. but again like you way of life gets in the way of reading at times. Worse luck! I am a full time music teacher and a dancer/ dance teacher outside of school as well as Mom to two dogs!!! Then in my fantasy world a friend at school recommended Dragons Dale which I've just started and it's cute. I also read a lot of music or books associated with music, composers, history, music styles music and the brain (nerdy stuff I know) but i really love it.
Anyway i'll talk your ear off if you let me *wink* have fun with your latest reads, let me know what you are reading in return . Speak to you later.Helen

I'm not a speedreader, but some books move along much more quickly for me than others. I'm impressed with your 500 book goal. I see you have read one of Paulo Coelho's books. I really liked another one by him, "The Alchemist". It is about a boy searching for his destiny in the world. Very uplifting. Good luck!

Definetely yes, I really liked this book, specially because it is based in the real Buda's life and some of the things that are told in the main story are steps that the same Buda took when he decided to throw everything away and decided to get to know different spiritual diciplines before finding that nature teach you things and talks to you and how to find you inner self
