Good science, bad (tired, re-used and incorrect) theology.

I don't know why you would read this book if you want to believe in God - just read the original C.S. Lewis - this is just a re-hash as far as theology is concerned. There is nothing new and the author is a bit of a babe in the woods with his reasoning where God is concerned.

The science however, is excellent, clearly described and interesting.

Certainly a fine, fine novel. Well written with interesting characters and a cracker of a plot. Reality and fantasy blur together as Nicolas, the main character, and the reader share a point of view and never quite know what is coming next.
