more »I publish a trade journal for the publishing industry and look "ForeWord" to being able to track of the books I read and making recommendations. My shelf consists of what I've read so far this year. Occasionally I pick up a bestseller in the airport or local bookstore, but my real love is uncovering new talent for my family and friends, those from smaller presses who need all the grass roots/viral marketing help they can find.
I also head the community read program in our town. Getting our city to turn off their televisions and pick up a book has been a wonderful and rewarding challenge. This, our sixth year will host James Bradley who wrote Flags of Our Fathers.
