Hi, Patty! Or should I say Grandma?? Is that surreal? Just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and your family, and sending love and prayers!
hey lady. got my tickets to fly in today!!! bad news is, we will all have to stop reading (much to the dismay of this site) because everyone at work has made me a list of at least 20 movies to watch. apparently the only good movie i've ever seen is Hook. and i don't even own that one. . .
Thanks for the tip, can't stay, have to go visit Rosemary! love, Lou Ann
Patty, I see you have The Life of Pi on here. I read it and hated it. Lauren read it and saw all kinds of deep existential meaning in it. I felt really stupid. To me, it was a really long boring story about a boy and a tiger!
Hey where did you go to write your profile? I click on My Profile but I didn't see anywhere to add the writing?
Patty, I love your profile!! So fun, and really captures your personality. I don't know that I really remember all the books on there, but hopefully this will help me remember them better! We ARE on the second floor and we have been dry, and today actually feels like summer which is a nice change. When you're ready for recommendations let me know! I spend 40 min on the train each day, so I have plenty of reading time. Other than that, we've loved having Aidan and Megan and Andrew here for the summer, and are now sad that our flat is back to being quiet!
Mystery reader revealed! Hi Patty, welcome to the virtual world of books and great profile! Hope all is well with you and your garden, and Springfield isn't too hot these days. We'll try to send some rain and cold your way =). -nick
Hey guys, I'm finally figuring this site out. Each time I log on, I figure something else out so, that's a good thing. Next will be my bio which I figured out the last time, but haven't had time to fill out. I'm still reading Queen Bees and Wanna Bees out as well as Odd Girl Out. They are books to help explain why girls turn into such monsters when they get into Jr. High. Hopefully will help me help Haley get through them. She's going into the 5th grade and is already beginning to deal with the monsters. Her best friend has totally ignored her twice at the pool this summer and just destroyed her. So, I'm trying to get advise to help her through the next few years. I'm reading both books at the same time and find them both to be incredible helpful.
where's this bio i've heard all about. . .
Where is Becca? ???
I love this site. It'll be great when I need a new book to read. Now I just have to go through my library at home and put in all the books. :-)
I like this idea a lot!! This is Amy Hill for any of tompatty5's friends that may be wondering.
Aidan says that if you can get your girls on, he'll join! Good luck, keep me posted!. love, lou ann
Thanks for the invite...this is kinda cool! In the middle of Harry Potter's last book now. Of course, been working on it since Sunday...life got a lil crazy and kept interupting me.
hey lady!
Welcome! What part did you cry about? Add Lauren as a friend, she's on my site and then you won't looks so lonely! If your girls join I hope they add me as a friend, I'd love to see their thoughts about books, and just to see what they are reading. You could add Mike, too, he is Irishtully, guess you could have figured that out! Lou Ann
