“HusH Setting The Pace

I was very skeptical at first to read this novel, but after hearing all the buzz about it I decided to go ahead and give it a try. The novel did start off slow but that was just for the reader to get their bearings stable, because once the novel picks up the emotional roller coaster ride won't stop. The author inserts small plots regarding each character throughout the book that will lead you up to the final character development. The author Amaleka MCcall does an excellent job with this one and is setting the pace to bring something different to the Urban Street reads. Character development, suspense, mystery, twists-turns, and breath-taking moments is in this read that will lead u all the way to the final chapter. Amaleka MCcall has stepped out the box with this one, and I have to say what an excellent job done. I highly recommend this one for everyone, but I caution you wisely Hush will not be a read u can be quiet about.

“ WOW!

This book will blow your mind, it will make u angry the entire story, and will have you asking yourself questions and telling yourself u wouldn't of took this, She had so many times to do away with the masters and why didn't she, because if u think we were outnumbered, and it was the logical thing to do to go on living like this if not for yourself for the others around you. Looking at today times it will make u wonder how far we have come and to be blessed”

“Keep Pushing

Push is a powerful novel set in New York. Precious Jones, an illiterate, obese, Hiv-positive, sixteen-year old teenager, tells her sad story about her life growing up. Unloved, sexually molested by her father which she bore him two children, and a mother that beats on her as well as feels her up. Precious meets a loving bi-sexual teacher that teaches her the importance of an education, and the importance of believing and loving herself. Precious character develops strongly over time. This story is unforgettable and will stay with you until the end.

This book is about one's life, about education, believing, and most of all determination. This book was filled with so many emotions, but it's a remarkable book worth reading. ”

“Babies For Sale!

Black babies are coming up missing and there's no evidence who's taking them. Jamillah, a drug addict, with no hope or future, lost her parent's at an early age, tries to overcome her past by turning to the streets and drugs. Urban Brown, Jammillah's white brother, that once lived a horrid life of abuse, abandonment, murder, and deception overcame his past and became a prosperous, upper-class, and respectable man. Jamillah desperate, and hard on her luck tries to sell a black baby, when this mystery starts to unfold. When Urban stumbles upon the illegal baby-trafficking ring is when he'll risk it all to protect one newborn and bring down this black market operation.
This is a fast engaging read from start of the first page to the last and Travis Hunter draws the reader's attention to one of the world's most illegal practices: the black market of babies. I enjoyed this book, wonderful writing, humorous at times, but I also found myself saddened by the situation Jamillah encountered in her life. Dark Child will have you on the edge of your seat, gasping and guessing, but will leave you ready and eager for his next novel. Five star read and a job well done. Recommended for everyone to read. ”

“ Thinking of Allison Hobbs book Strebor Quickies, I was turned off thinking these books were alot of erotica with no plot. Boy was I wrong when I read One Taste! One Taste has erotica with a darn good plot. The characters Matt, and Regina were going through their sexual dissatisfactions in marriage. Matt decides to step out and get another taste of a girl named Onika. Onika gives Matt more than he can handle. The story was funny at times, but when Onika and her friend Puddin hooks up the story turns hilarious and a hot mess! Thanks Allison Hobbs for letting me have a taste of this novel and being able to laugh while reading. Kudos to you and a 5 star job well done! ”

“DIPPED

Rolly (Radolfo Ortiz) a Puerto Rican New York hustler, who has Spanish Harlem on lock by selling Formaldehyde (embalming fluid). He teams up w/a nerdy boy name David who's father is a mortician and both of these 2 together have literally everyone smoking & walking around among the dead. More money, more murder is Rolly's motto thruought the book and every chance he gets he's about making the money. Rolly uses his skills and personal gab to control the streets, but of course more money, more murders, EQUALS MORE PROBLEMS. Visa Rollack has done a superb job w/this novel and I'm looking forward to read more book by this author. Job well done and a author to watch out for.

“Queen Still Standing!

I went around the world and back looking for that Queen B*tch!! And when I read it, I see why Miss King still reigns over the queen crown. This book started w/a pow and ended with a wow! This was a book that had me on my seat's edge, every word-sentence-paragraph. No fairy tale involved. Can't wait until Last B*tch Standing and if Maya is the last one standing, let's not be mad it's just a part of life. Go ahead Deja and keep wearing your crown, urban lit is bowing down to you!

“Leave Those Thugs Alone!

I took awhile to read this book and I'm sorry I waited so long. This is one of the best books I have read. This book is in a class of it's own. It's going to pull u in, capture u, and hold u until the end. A plot, drama, and smut it's here and it gets told and unwrapped w/out rules. This author keeps u wanting more. Mr. Hall I love ya work, keep doing what u do. Kudos and a job well done. ”

“Wrongfully Accused

One day in Mississippi, 17 y/o Larry Henderson is arrested and wrongfully accused of murder of a white man. Mississippi was known to be one of the states that believed in racial inequality and a black man being accused of anything could get him convicted or hung. White men were being murdered one after another, but when one well known white klansman is murdered all evidence suddenly turns to Larry. Nomatter if Larry is guilty or innocent or if there is actual evidence against him, Larry must go down for the crime. The person closest to him makes sure he's convicted and that person is his father Officer Perry Henderson, the only black officer in that county. How can a father be adamant that his son must be convicted and do the time, why is this so important to him, why is one journalist ready to save Larry from his fate? This book holds these answers.

Caged Innocence is one tear-jerking book. It sets the scene in the deep south, the injustice, the racism, a father and son torn apart. This book is a masterpiece ready to be put on the big screen. Caged Innocence also goes deeper by reminding us what it means to be human and wrongfully accused. Mr. Richard I have to say this is by far one of the best books I have read and an EXCELLENT job well done. Can't wait to see this on the big screen. Kudos and u deserve more than 5 stars. ”

“Youngin!

Trust No Man by Cash is a fast paced novel that gives each scene raw, gritty, and tell it like it is. From the streets, to whores, hustlers, drug dealers, stick-ups, and baby mama's, Terrence aka Youngblood is exposed to it all. A stick-up kid with principles, every drug dealer and hustler wants him on their team, but Youngblood rather be his own boss and get it how he live it as a one rich stick-up kid.
This was a good drama filled novel of the life of a young stick-up kid. This book had me captured from the first to the last page. It will catch u repeatedly saying "No he didn't say or do that." Cash did an excellent job when writing this novel. I'm patiently waiting for the sequel. Kudos of a job well done and 5 stars to you Mr. Cash. ”
