lol, well if it's fairies you like then check out "Tithe", "Valiant", and "Ironside"by Holly Black. Also, Melissa Marr has three books out: "wicked lovely", "Ink Exchange", and "Fragile Eternity". These are all from the Young Adult section.

If you're interested in a modern version of the Olympian gods and the adventures of their half-mortal children then check out Rick Riordan's series that starts with "The Lightening Thief". That one is usually in the Intermediate Readers section, and it's been made into a movie! (*~happy dance~*)

What are you in the mood for? I'm on an action fantasy kick, right now. Vicky Petersson's "Scent of Shadows: First Sign of the Zodiac" is totally BUTTKICKIN'. I'm also reading Jeanine Frost's Night Huntress series (book 2 is on hold at the library) which is pretty decent. Kinda makes me think of the J.D. Robb books as far as the main characters being in a continuing relationship.

I've also been reading lots of young adult fiction (vamps, fairies, zombies, etc), the occasional romance novel/anthology, and a couple feminist themed scifi novels. ;o)

    Some recent favorites:
The Blue Girl, by Charles de Lint (fairies)
Howl's Moving Castle, by Diana Wynne-Jones (if you've ever seen the movie, it's a little different from the bk but every bit as awesome!)
The House of Many Ways, by Diana Wynne-Jones (an excellent follow up to Howl's)
Generation Dead, by Daniel Waters (not your traditional dead kids, but not brain eating zombies either)

Oh! and if Kelly hasn't managed to talk you into reading Louise Rennison's books, yet then you should definitely read them! Start with Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging.
