As Shelfari's design guy, I'm half artist and half computer geek. I'm really into User Interface Design and CSS/HTML coding, so my real world book collection is about half art/design books and half programming books. While I read mostly non-fiction books, I'm hoping that this job will inspire me to tackle some of the classics that my beautiful... more »

Hi Timothy! I have the book in my hands and I was trying to create a new book because I didn't find it in Shelfari. I put all the data in the form, including the ISBN and when I wanted to upload the cover it show up that book with the title "Generar beneficios". I thought that it would be correct to change the title of the book since the cover and the ISBN matches the one I've got. Do you think I have to create a new book? Best regards!

I'm having trouble straightening out the Sierra Jensen Collection by Robin Jones Gunn. It shows Shelfari only has Volumes 1, 2, and 4. When I go to add the 3rd book and type in the ISBN #, it says it's already on the site but takes me to the 4th book. Please help me. Thanks.

    re Arrowsmith...

I trust you. I've done so many of these things I can't even remember what that was. Looked at my edit history and still can't remember.

I think it is time I call it a night - probably will make more mistakes if I continue. I'll pick it up again tomorrow.

Thanks for posting the note to 'splain things to me.

What a sweet picture! I was wondering, if I'm combining books and the book with an actual cover is after the blue cover with the same title, is there anyway to make the actual cover be the main book (what an awful sentence, why I'm a reader and not a writer!) Also, if I add a new book about how long will it take for me to be able to search for it? Thanks for all your help!

Hi again! I've been working today on adding my cookbooks and have been trying cleanup as I go. I've come across a cookbook that was incorrectly combined with a few other titles:

    http://www.shelfari.com/books/1608636/Grilling-Fanfare-(Fanfare)/editions

After looking at the editions I'm assuming this should stay Grilling Fanfare (I mistakenly submitted a title change before checking the editions, sorry about that, learning from my mistakes!). I moved the Williams Sonoma Grilling to another edition. However I couldn't find a place to move Grilling (Great Taste, Low Fat) and Grilling (Great Recipes Collection). In this case should I submit a new title in order to move them? I don't own either of those books, however after looking them up on Amazon I'm certain they are entirely different cookbooks. Thanks in advance!

That does make sense, thank you. I wasn't certain if the title and main cover image took priority over the editions or not, so I appreciate the clarification.

Oh thank you so much! That should make this project a bit easier. I started getting quite bogged down last night by all the mixed up titles, so I really appreciate your trying to sort it out. Cheers!

Hello Timothy, I have been trying to combine authors there, I'm sorry if I did anything wrong. These are indeed different books, but the author is the same. "Syskonkarlek", "Ludvig mein Liebe" and "Ik en mijn broer" are different editions of the same book, Syskonkarlek, though.
