I spent three years illustrating worlds, characters and monsters for directors like Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson and George Miller on projects like Tintin, District 9 and Avatar, while developing my own project ‘Moth City’ along the way. I even convinced the New Zealand government to partially fund Moth City’s birth as an online comic, where I experiment with giving stuff away for free, and ‘Fan-draising’ to take on the Goliaths of the industry. I live in Wellington, New Zealand, with my fiancée and spend my time reading Elmore Leonard, Stephen King and Agatha Christie or ogling the art of David Mazzucchelli and Ashley Wood. « less
