obviously, i love to read!!!

at the age of five when i first learned how to read, i would read everything and everywhere, under any circumstances.

i read everything from shampoo bottles to award winning books..
i would read at night under low light.
i would read in moving vehicles, and anywhere i could find myself to stay still for the few minutes that i needed to read the next few pages.
i was at the hospital hooked to some IV to ease the pain when the doctor had to order me to put down the book i was reading.
i was reading a book when the captain of the aircraft i was in told us that we would have to make an emergency landing due to fire in one of the engines. after making all emergency preparations (i'm a flight attendant, by the way) i continued to read.
i was reading a book at my eye doctor's office waiting for the laser operation that would correct the damage i did to my eyes because of too much reading when for the second time in my life, the doctor had to order me to put down my book again.

oh, and did i mention that i read everything? i would read any book i was able to get my hands on.. which lead to my reading some porn comic books at the age of 7, and some porn novels at the age of 11 although i didn't understand most of it except that the girl obviously was made very, very happy.

Fortunately, i discovered John Grisham's The Client a few months after that. It had to be done in secrecy though because they forbade me to read it due to its adult contents.. they obviously didn't know about the porn.

I joined shelfari because i have a very bad memory and i've forgotten most of the plots and characters of the books i've read. i've even read some books only to realize that i've already read them before! so, this is to tally all the books i've read including the sweet valley high books and shampoo bottle instructions (if thats allowed), lol. but also so that i dont make the mistake of re-reading books. and one more thing, i love to discuss the books i've read with people who loved them too!!! « less
