Officially, my husband and I joined shelfari together. However, it appears I am the one constantly on the site, he cruises in once a week to add somebooks. We live outside of Pittsburgh, but this is our 5th city in 8 years. Hubby is a Chef and I work part-time in Human Resources. We have two wonderful sons. Our youngest has autism and must be... more »

Did you see An Evening With Stephen King on Book TV last night? Very interesting!

    Hope you're doing well!

I have not read Tenth Circle yet but now that it will be on Life time as a movie, I am not sure that I will. The Pact was awesome - it was the very first book that I read of hers and I loved it. Sat down and read it in 1 day. Plain Truth has an awesome twist and I did not see it coming which is probably why I loved it so much. I have read almost all of hers and some are much better than others. I thought Nineteen Minutes dragged on forever and I just wanted it to end.
What are you reading now? Do you have anything good to suggest? I am going to start The Book of Bright Ideas by Sandra Kring for my book group.

Thanks for your reply on the Jodi Picoult book Change of Heart. I am almost done and hope to finish it tonight. I saw that you are not much of a Jodi picoult fan - Have you read Plain Truth? That is my all time favorite of hers. Hope to chat with you soon.

Well that's unfortunate. I hope River is doing better now.

I know what you mean... we were a tiny group to begin with and now there are so many people there that I'm not even sure how to interact anymore! Weird.

I've been trying to get through some books. It's been difficult but I've been getting a little bit done.

LOST is fabulous. If it wasn't I suppose we wouldn't put up with waiting eight months for new episodes. It's too good to put away.

Things are alright with the family. We're trying some new things with Skylar and we have someone from our past helping us out again. It's nice and we'll see what happens.

    Talk to you soon.

WOW... that was a great episode! Worth the wait I think. Felt like there was actually some forward progress there too which is something that has been lacking for a good while.

How are you? How are your boys? How is the 100 books by the end of the year going?

Hope the mini-vaca is giving you lots of R&R! I envision bed, room service, and a book - as it should be! Can't wait to talk LOST when you get back.

What did I think?! What do you think I thought?! I think WOW! WOW! WOW! just about covers it! What is going on?! I love this show! Could I love it any more? Apparently, yes! Sayid, what are you doing? That Daniel guy is a weirdo for sure though. He's starting to creep me out a bit. And what is with Ben's creepy walk-in closet? That guy is a certified whack job!

I'll email you some details about the story I'm writing... I think it's has the potential to be a really great story... if I can just get it out of me!

Oh, I forgot, what do you think about Lost this year? I am not sure what I think. I can say I am not enjoying it as much as I did the first two seasons. I am just not sure what I think. It has taken a strange turn.

LOST was pretty amazing, wasn't it... I can't wait for this weeks episode!

Good to hear about your oldest. Sad to hear about your youngest. We're having some similar issues with behaviour and attitude. We've had to implement some not so pleasant punishment for my oldest because she just doesn't get it. Hopefully what we have going on now will work.

I've got a few stories on the go actually. One of them I started writing in 1993. I got about 70 pages written in three days but I've only dabbled in it since. The one that I'm trying to write now though has to potential to be really good but I'm being so picky about it that I'm not just getting it out and editing later (which is what I should do). I would just like to finish one... for me... just to say that I did it. Whether it gets published or not isn't important to me. I just want to know that I can do it. If that makes any sense at all.

LOST is on tomorrow... WOO HOO!! Hopefully we get a few more answers!

    Talk to you later!

Glad to hear it! 100 books! That is a lofty but achieveable goal. For you anyway... I don't think I could half that! I just don't read fast enough and I haven't been MAKING the time. Its not that I don't have a few minutes here and there to pick something up and read it. I just haven't been doing that lately. I've been trying to get Needful Things done so I have been reading four or five pages when I get home after work and while I'm cooking. Nearly done and I can't believe that I haven't read this book yet! I'm really enjoying it!

I have been trying to write my own story though. That is one of the things that is diverting my attention. The other major thing that is stealing my attention is a bit of freelance work that I'm doing right now. I have to focus on it so I don't get to read (or write for that matter) while I'm working on it. Tomorrow never seems to come, you know?

How are your kids doing? What did you think of LOST last night? I'm just on my way to the group to see what everyone is saying!

I hope you are doing well. I haven't been very active lately in discussions, since my wife's been taking college classes and I've been more or less taking care of house and kid. i think you and zap do a great job, btw. I always feel so welcome. Take care :)

Actually, I thought it was great! I found that it was worth the wait. I quite enjoyed it. There were a lot of LOST elements in there too which was nice to see. I can't wait for Thursday to watch more!

I have about 200 pages of Needful Things left to read. Once that is finished, I'm going to finish Lisey and once that is finished I think I'll try A Simple Plan. I had Duma Key in my hand but I didn't buy it. Other things to get right now.

    How are you doing?
