I liked it immensely - The Historian that is - it had been sometime since I had read Dracula, and it was nice reading on the subject again - with a lot of Dan Brownish faction thrown in. Interested to know what you thought :)

I was bored with this one. I am not interested in the history of Dracula though.

I also get lost in book stores, card stores suck me in too. I'm having so much fun on shelfari, I don't want to do anything else but read. I tried to listen to some on tape but don't find it very fun, I did find one read by Brad Pitt and it was excellent, not sure of the title but I enjoyed it, something about his voice. Another favorite is Kelsey Grammer "Fraizer", he has such a soothing tone. Have you found books on others shelfs that you would like to read, I have. Wendy

Wow, you have a lot of books on your shelf that I have read. I love your duck by the way. I'm always changing my picture, today is Doc Powell's DVM cat Elwood P. Dowd, he is a cool cat. I foster cats/kittens from our local shelter and interested in a lot of animal books. I read all the time and have always loved reading. You could say I'm a little OCD when it comes to books. Happy reading. Wendy

If you liked Small Gods, you'll probably like Good Omens. I think that Terry Pratchett is one of the wittiest and cleverest writers I have ever read. I got hooked on his work through Good Omens. I hope you like it.

Oscar Wilde is my favourite writer and Decadentism my favourite genre,
so I strongly recommend you to read The Picture of Dorian Gray.
If you are interested in what is a human being and in Art, Dorian Gray is a point of view that you should know.
The plot is intelligent, interesting and fashinating, it takes the reader.
    The writing style is gorgeous.
In some pages it's raw and cruel (Parental Advisory ;-), but so it's life.
    This is my humble opinion.
Read it in any case, you cannot dislike it.
    Let me know.
Best regards and thanks for asking me about this beloved book :-)

Hi.....Well, Dorian Gray is worth one read. It's morbid, but fascinating! Since you seem to have a wide range of reading interest I rather think you will, if not like it, atleast read it through :-)
Send me a review when you"re done :-)
    Happy reading!
