Blake University is small but thanks to Dr. Charlotte Clark it's Psychology department is rich from her generous donations but still someone has seen it fit to kill her in the computer lab she paod for, but why?

Enter Pamela Barnes and ehr graduate student Kent who discover her strangled while do doing research and now the search to find out who in the department wants her dead that badly. Everyone from the department head had fought with her just prior to her death.

Patrica Rockwell pens a great whodunit and why story. She has created likable yet very mysterious characters in Dr. Barnes and the faculty and her family to make Sounds of murder a fantastic fast paced and enjoyable read. I give this paper 5 A+s and look forward to reading the other books in the series.

Loved the book. Halperns dad-isms were highly entertaining as well as the ancedotes from his childhood were touching--Sams a hard candy with a soft centre.

Wow what a book!--Covered a lot and ran the gammut from a come from nothing-secret past(sable)
Dead friend with a secret affair(Gabby) Elly(Hard exterior--with soft centre)Naive Beth with an abusive spouse and how she escapes. Barbara --Willing to leave her slobby family of men to get the message across about their habits. All four women come together to write the story of Gabby's life in a fictional form to further understand her and pay homage to the mentor they loved--As are most Robyn Carr works, this was hard to put down--I felt pulled in by the characters and their stories.

Tempe is in middle of the investiationas she is caught between her ex husband investigate the disapearance of a clients daughter and uncovers the illegal goings on at a free clinic. her pathologist friend is dying and her current squeeze andrew ryan is visiting. Quite the page turner.

Somewhat reminiscient of Practical magic --explores pagan beliefs and believing that the impossible can happen. requires the reader to keep an open mind. It is fictional but its apparent that the author has done her research or believes in this her self. great characters and I was pulling for them to get what they needed.
