Therone believes literature does and always has played an important part in social and political affairs globally. A society who reads is an informed one.
In 2007 he created an online radio show called "Keeping It Real" which is broadcasting through the blogtalkradio network www.blogtalkradio.com/keepingitreal. He has taken a hiatus from the show for one year and plans to revive it again in April 2011.
Therone has witnessed every facet of the self publishing world since 2003. And with the new age of technology upon us, and the world of ebook publishing accounting for 9% of total book sales he has decided to publish all of his titles in ebook format. And for the moment has opted out of providing the store market with paperback titles.
Therone Shellman is also the sole owner of Therone Shellman Skincare & Distribution (Jan 2011). A boutique company which carries a few manufacturers skincare products which are mostly or whole organic. These products are sold retail to normal customers and at wholesales prices to store and salon locations. Items include, soaps, lotions, body washes, shampoos, skin creams, etc. July 2011 the company will be releasing it's own line of organic products.
Therone Shellman is the sole owner of Therone Shellman Book Consulting (2011). The company was established to provide book consulting to aspiring and established authors. Services include one hour phone consultations for $150. As well as in depth consultation services such as assistance with obtaining an editor, isbn, lccn, ghost writer, graphics professional, printers, book club reviews, etc. A package can be tailored to fit around an individuals needs. Therone will serve as the go between the author and the professionals needed to provide services on the project to ensure things are done competently and in a timely manner. Consultation fee depends on how in depth the needs and the program. The service is a separate fee from the fees paid to the professionals who will provide necessary services. Overall the client will save more money and time than going it alone. The job will be done right first time and they will have a solid plan to work with.
