RAMSUNDAR PERSAD (1927-2002) lived his entire life in Trinidad, West Indies. This Collection of type-written Poems, "The Lotus Blooms" was found in a brown folder in his bedside drawer after his death dedicated to his wife Hema and his daughters Indra, Vidia and Saty. He is the author of 4 Published Books, 7 Published Transliterations and 4 Unpublished Works. One of his books "Rites, Rituals and Customs associated with the Hindu Marriage Ceremony was sold out on www.amazon.com His published books expound various topics in the Hindu Religion.
He worked for 38 years in the Magistracy and as a Justice of the Peace. He was a member of the Pundit's Parishad, a Maha Sabha Executive and a Hindu Marriage Officer. He was a frequent guest on numerous Radio Stations discussing "Religion and the power of prayer in daily life" also other religious subjects. From 1987-1997 he wrote the annual Divali - "Hindu Festival of Lights" addresses to the Nation of Trinidad and Tobago for President Noor Mohamed Hassannali.
His eldest daughter Indra Persad-Milowe of Malden, MA will be promoting this book on behalf of the Persad family in Trinidad, West Indies.
