I like to read in my spare time, that is when I'm not writing, making movies, or whatever else I do in my spare time. In the past I have enjoyed mainly sci-fi and imaginative generes. But recently I have been more fond of applicable non-fiction type books particularly in science which can impact your view of the world.

I liked some of the information contained in this book. However I feel like it could use some more practical examples of clinical studies proving these foods work.

I also found that some of the sources cited in this book are not what I would call reputable in a scientific sense. Most cited are random journalistic write ups with no source articles to research, etc.

I was hoping for a book that was able to tell me through scientific method what foods effect the brain and how. This is not that book. That said, as a book filled with information that is taken as a collection of random website clippings, magazine articles and occasionally some publications of some scientific integrity. It is successful in portraying what those guidelines are.

Additionally, through some digging through references for this book, I was able to find the fantastic resource that is:

    http://www.mind.org.uk/foodandmood/

on which some of the more factual and credible information is based
