Hi, Melissa. Have you had any luck with your job search? I hope you're having a great summer and having the opportunity to read some fabulous books. I attended a seminar yesterday on new children's and YA books.

Good luck in your job search. It seems as though some years there are no job openings, and then every few years or so, a lot of school librarians retire at the same time.

thats awesome, I had a goal to read 100 last year. I read 119 total. I was a little obsessive about it! lol I also work nights at a place where I can read, so that helps! :) I wrote down on paper all I read last year and the year before but this year I am keeping track of it on here.

So of course I went to Border's today and bought "The Sweet Far Thing" and I also bought. "Here on Earth" by Alice Hoffman...I like her stories, not for everyone but I like reading them, they are always interesting (aka on the weird side) but interesting non the less.

You need to read, "Song of the Sparrow" by Lisa Ann Sandell...it was so good, it's about Elaine---Lady of Shallott...and it's in free verse...Arthurian legend, with a happy ending!

That's ok, I was only really into the, "Babysitter's little sister club" and some cheesy high school romance books that were at Caldor's.
