Welcome! Feel free to snoop around my bookshelves.
This is a sampling of my collection; I'm building a more complete and accurate inventory over at LibraryThing.
My major collection areas are books related to the Middle Ages (particularly literature, but also history); Celtic literature and history (primarily Irish, but also Welsh and Scottish); folklore (including myths and fairy tales); African-American literature; Appalachian and Southern literature; speculative and horror fiction; and children's books.
I've pretty much given up on classifying everything with tags, but you can still get a sense of what I have by looking at my categories and clicking on them to see a sample.
You'll notice that my "Top 10" list actually is a "Top 40" list. There was no way I was going to get it narrowed down beyond that. And no, it's not ranked in order of preference--the strain of that process would have been too much for me.
If you'd like to visit my more ephemeral collection, see books I'm willing to give away, and track the journeys of books I've released into "the wild," please visit www.bookcrossing.com and look up the profile name "afj."
