On a more personal note: I love to read. I'll read anything and everything (almost). My favorite series is Jean Auel's "Earth's Children" series that began with "Clan of the Cave Bear". Ayla has to be the epitome of womanhood. I've read the entire series through at least 4 times.
The next best thing to that is the Star Wars series after "A New Hope". The continuing saga of the Jedi ... fascinating.
Fantasy is another favorite, with Tamora Pierce leading the way. I've read all her books and can't wait for more. Dennis McKiernan rates tops in my fantasy reading, along with David Eddings, Raymond E. Feist and Piers Anthony.
Tech/Political Thrillers are next on my list. Tom Clancy and Vince Flynn are two of my favorites right now.
Inspirational lit and programming/design books are in my reading list too, but I don't tend to list them on my shelf. And there's absolutely no way I could list ALL the books I've ever read, so I started with what I was reading when I joined Shelfari.
Keep reading... it's the best gift you can ever give your children.
