Right off the bat I was bored this this book. I picked this up before I knew the plot was almost identical to the movie High Tension, so when I first started reading it I was only picturing the events of the movie and not the events of the book. After pushing through it for a while the plot eventually began to turn away from the events of the movie and I became immersed! I felt for the characters! Great read, even if you've seen High Tension.

Not bad. Not the best book I've read, but it kept me turning the pages.[br/][br/]Overall The Association was an enjoyable book that kept me interested all the way to the end. The ending, I felt, was very odd and seemed out of character from the rest of the book. I would have liked for the author to explore more of the 'why do we allow these rules' and 'why do they put up with this' story lines.[br/][br/]Overall a decent book that will keep you interested.

Velocity by Dean Koontz is worthy of a read by any standards. The pacing is perfect, the mind games are well timed, and the mystery surrounding the deaths is well formed. Overall it's worth your $6.

The only let down I had was from the ending. I felt there were a number of other ways Koontz could have gone which would have yielded better results. It was almost like Koontz had developed this wonderful story but left developing the ending until the final moments. It felt as if he had spent all his time on the bulk of the book and simply wrote the ending in a matter of hours.

Regardless of my letdown with the end, I still enjoyed the ride immensely. It was a nail bitter until the end.

Although it never seemed to develop into the book I though it would be, I still enjoyed The Book of Fate and found it easy to continue to read.

My reservations were with a few of the characters not being as believable as I though they should or could have been, and the storyline seeming not going anywhere for a few chapters.

Overall it's worth a read, but don't expect to be blown away.
