I am a true biblophile! I love my books and take very good care of them. Everything is cataloged and I NEVER loan or throw away a book! My daughters are the same. They have truly inherited my love of books. I can't even put all my books on here, since some of them are "property" of the young ladies now! lol
I really enjoy history books,... more »

Thanks for accepting the invite. I have really enjoyed the Tudor group, as I have always been fascinated by the period since PBS did the Elizabeth R series many years ago. Since I retired I have been able to finally read more of it. You have books on Arthur and the Templars which are also some of my areas of intrest. What are your favorites on those subjects? Also, What is your favorite tea for a cold rainy day? :)
    Thanks, Ben

I think it is cool that you are a self-proclaimed bibliophile, and your book choice is extensive and intriguing. I figure, if I keep in contact with you, I can come across some amazing things. Happy reading!

I saw your note somewhere about Alison Weir. I just finished her book on Queen Elizabeth and I was impressed. Unfortunately, the new movie Elizabeth, the Golden Age, doesnt follow this book!

Oh I agree... and my 11th ggf was a chaplain to edward vi as a child... so that's probably how my 10th ggf met katherine's cousin :) Yeah I adore the way Alison Weir writes, she gives all the details a woman wants to know.. hehe.. that a male biographer would leave out... facts with the embellisment of beauty and fashion and emotion... great stuff :)

Hi :) I'm also currently reading an Alison Weir, its the Children of Henry VIII... Anne is also my favourite, although my 10th great granny was cousin to Katherine Parr - whom I also think is wonderful... but there's something about Anne :) It's great to find people with such similar taste, I'm gonna have a ball reading all these new discoveries!

Thanks! For the note Terry :)
I have a garden also but I'm not much of a gardener yet.

Antiques sound very interesting also. My next door neighbor just went into business with a friend and they sell them at the antiques mall in Williamsburg :)

Good Luck with your endeavors in that area.

    Hi Terry :)
    Thanks! For accepting my invite.

I see you have read "One More Day" by Mitch Albom. I just finished reading it a few weeks ago, and I loved it. What did you think about the book?

Have you read any of his other books such as "Five People You Meet In Heaven" or "Tuesdays At Morries"?

    Hi Terry!
I"m new to Shelfari my name is Hilda :)
I see we have a few things in common. I lived in NJ for 21 yrs and I'm now living in Yorktown, VA just 30 min. from Colonial Williamsburg.

I love to read and write, and I miss those winters in NJ :)
