When in doubt, wear red.

People often wonder if I have actually read all the books I own. Don't be ridiculous. I have a job and a life.

Why do I keep buying them then? I'm stocking up for retirement. It's never too... more »

I'll have to borrow some of those medieval history books. Haven't read those. Passage to India is a curious read but Forester beats Forster any day of the week in terms of British Empire novels.

    THE NOEL DAYBREAK

    1
    - WITH NO WATER NO SUN
    HOW TO LEARN
    FROM WHOM TO LEARN
    BUDDING?
NOW THE NIGHT SKY IS GLOOMY
    THE UPROAR OF SILENCE
    SAT ON THE FINE CLOUD
    SOME PASSED – BY PASS:
    WITH SQUEEZED EYES OF COLD
    WITH THEIR FAST PACE
    IN THOSE PURE DARKNESSES
    AWAY FROM THIS WHILE LAND
IN A SOLITUDE CORNER OF THE CITY
    A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL
    SAT ALONE
    WITH HER POEMS GENTLE HANDS
    COVERED HER BLUE INNONCED EYES.
    VERY FAR FROM HER
    SOME BOYS
    BAREFOOTS & POOR HANDS
ARE IN SEARCH OF A FRIEND
A FRIEND WITH BLUE INNONCENT EYES.
    2
I SAID: YOU! WITH YOUR LOOK
    GIVE SUCH A NIGHT
A GOOD NEWS OF GROWING GREEN DOWN.
(SHE KISSED MY LITTLE FORE HEAD)
    I ASKED: WHERE`S A BIRD? !
I FEEL THE NEW NOEL SMELLS
BUT THE FLOWER OF THE MOON IS RED & WEARY!
    (AS CRYING EMBRACED ME FIRMLY.)
    I SAID: OH! MY MOTHER
    WITH NO WATER NO SUN
    HOW TO LEARN
    FROM WHOM TO LEARN
    BUDDING?
    (HER SMILES
    A COMPLETE RESPONSE TO ME.)
    I SAID: A ANNUCIATORY !
TO YOU O` SAD BRIDE OF SKY:
    THE MORN WAS DAWNED .

Hi. I agree with the coffee and chocolate!

I'm considering reading the "Confessions of St Augustine". It is one of those "must reads" for me. Do you suggest reading anything else first - like prep work?

I hope you will take the time to view my YouTube book trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-t0K34iU6g. I am doing some research about potential characters to play the lead role in the upcoming movie. Hope you can help me out. As Ralph Eggleston Director/Production Designer of Pixar Animation Studios said,
"I LOVED the book! It's a missing, ENDLESSLY fascinating link to the history of Hollywood. Thank you for researching and writing it!! I hope it's been widely well received, as it deserves to be." Best wishes. Gaelyn

He,he. Apparently my aunt Carol has stumbled across Shelfari quite independently and is in the process of hooking as many of my various aunties, uncles, cousins, etc as possible onto Shelfari. There's quite a few of those by the way.
Apparently she is using this site as a tool to help their little book club plan. Found out when my mom just informed me of this great social book lover site that she heard about...

Hi Tembi, Thanks for your note. I see we have 21 books in common, I like your taste! As for books not read, we refer to that as your "anti-library," which is probably more important than the books you've read! (I learned this from The Black Swan, by Nassim Nicholas Taleb; I love that thought). Ron
