I am a freelance reader, reviewer, and editor, but known most as the founder of RAWSISTAZ Literary Group (www.rawsistaz.com) which supports and promotes African-American authors and their work. We offer free services for authors to share information about themselves and their books, as well as our newsletters which feature book reviews, new releases, author spotlights and more. RAWSISTAZ has received numerous awards and recognition, amongst them is Writers Digest 2006 & 2008 Top Sites for Writers.
We also have a review team, The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (TRR), which is one of (if not the first) organizations formed to review the work of African-American authors. We have reviewed over 4000 titles in our 6+ year history, so check out our book review repository at www.blackbookreviews.net. Authors interested in having a review done can check out our submissions page at http://www.rawsistaz.com/submissions.htm. Please DO NOT query us about doing a review. You send it, we'll get it reviewed.
Lastly, I am a literary enthusiast approaching a decade of service to the African-American literary community. In addition to RAWSISTAZ, I've written columns, served as a board member of several literary organizations, am the webdiva for various literary and author sites, and most recently, became a literary agent, representing the works of authors who write across the genres. I've also been listed in Literary Divas: The Top 100+ Most Admired African-American Women in Literature by Heather Covington.
I love a good book and sharing information, so stop through often as I work on getting my 5000+ collection added to Shelfari. And, do share what you're reading, collecting, or thinking about purchasing. Also, be sure to visit RAWSISTAZ.com for more information on the organization, our local chapters, and online hang-out for readers and writers. With 550+ members in our various groups, RAWSISTAZ is making an impact on the literary community...
Until next time, keep on reading and writing...
