Welcome to my ever growing bookshelf! ^_^

I used to hate to read. Then my sis-in-law hooked me with the Archie comics in my early teens. I was steadily reading the series but I got curious why most of my classmates are into Sweet Dreams. So fortunately we had a very yellowish old copy of it at home. I started to read a chapter a... more »

I just read The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch yesterday. ... and the sequel today, The Last Apprentice: Curse of the Bane. It was longer, but faster paced and I read it in just an afternoon. I really glad I found the books and discovered a new fantasy author.

hi, there's great book swapping happening at www.bookmooch.com. it has a forum here at shelfari, at http://www.shelfari.com/groups/23735/about.

bookmooch is a site that lets you give away the books you don't want anymore and get the books you Really Want to&from bookmooch members all over the world!

joining is free. you don't spend to get the books but you will have to pay postage to send internationally. with sea mail, you won't be damaged so much though (80/thin book, 150 up for heavier books).

    hope you join!

Sweet Dreams! Haha! What a blast from the past. I remember reading book #1 (Was it PS I Love You?straight through the night. Unlike you though, I hate covered books. A friend of mine borrowed a book once and returned it covered and I complained. Haha, poor girl; I know she meant well. I love antique looking books. One time I found leather bound books and bought them just because they looked so old. Did not even care about the titles. Regardless of the differences in our preference for book condition, it's still great to connect with book lovers. Nice "meeting" a fellow book addict like you.

Hi. I've started a group called Flips Flipping Pages, a group for Filipino shelfarians. I'm not sure yet what the objective is. It might be fun hooking up with Pinoy booklovers here.
