Thanks for the heads up regarding Plaidy's Norman trilogy. Maybe I'll start with the Plantagenet books instead.
I haven't read When Christ and His Saints Slept yet, but have heard it isn't as good as her other books. What did you think of it?
I noticed you have Susan Carroll's books on your shelf. I've read the Dark Queen and The Courtesan. What did you think of them? I really liked the Dark Queen but thought the Courtesan was just okay. I've yet to read the Silver Rose.
Thanks for sending the link. I didn't realize she had written so many books! Since her works cover British history right from the Conquest I could simply start with the Norman trilogy and work my way through them. I'm going to add some of her books to my wish list.
I loved The Sunne in Splendour. Have you read any other books by Penman? I really enjoyed her England/Wales trilogy.
Hi Tanzanite. I see you have lots of Jean Plaidy books on your shelf. I've never read any of her books but think they look interesting. Are they stand alone books or series? Do you have any recommendations as to which one of her books to start with? Thanks!
I enjoyed browsing your collection of books! I like historical fiction and biographies, but haven't read any of the ones on your shelf. What would you recommend?
