why im here? ive made it my mission to save poor impulsive book buyers from misleading back-bind summaries and commentaries. too many "bestsellers" and "number 1s'" and "one of the greatest writers of his time" comments have guiled innocent booklovers into buying words they can't really relate to (myself included).

    Hi tampopo. I haven't heard of baltasar and blimunda yet. I loved Blindness talaga; I think you'll like it too. I have the sequel, Seeing, but haven't read it yet because I've been meaning to read Blindness again but other books get in the way. I also have Death at Intervals. Super intriguing yung blurbs at the back of the book; hopefully it's good. I read All the Names and it was just so-so.

    hi, there's great book swapping happening at www.bookmooch.com. it has a forum here at shelfari, at http://www.shelfari.com/groups/23735/about.

    bookmooch is a site that lets you give away the books you don't want anymore and get the books you Really Want to&from bookmooch members all over the world!

    joining is free. you don't spend to get the books but you will have to pay postage to send internationally. with sea mail, you won't be damaged so much though (80/thin book, 150 up for heavier books).
