I teach 6th grade history and use literature in my class everyday. During the school year I find it very hard to read "grown-up" books. I love children's literature, the beautiful language and illustrations captivate me. I hope my love of reading transfers to my students.

    come 'on Tammy read the book. Melanie Griffin was the perfect choice for the role - funny, fumbly, fine looking, naive, but smart. I've only seen the movie but thought it was excellent with humor, whit, and truth.

    The chapter when he gets married really begins to explain her character a bit more. I liked her just a bit in "Incoming Tide" and then felt alot of sympathy for her in "Little Bursts". I actually laughed when she stole the shoe and bra and marked up the sweater. Those actions did not make me like her less. I think she is a fiesty old bird!

    The last book/movie combo I covered was Mystic River. Nominated for 6 Oscars and won 2. I enjoyed the movie, yet it did not come close to the chilling written story. Highly recommended.

    My mom and sister went to Wicked the play! My mom was trying to read me the book but that didn't work to well!! The simulation you did to day was scary but fun after the fact!
