I love, love Zora Neale Hurston, Alice Walker who just keep me determined to write, publish, read, and then start all over again.
I hope to always inspire others the way I have been inspired to walk in Christ using my gift of writing or do even better!
I believe there is really a difference between words and literature and I aim to promote black literature and do my part to defeat illiteracy in the black community.
As a youth, I attended parochial school and I was never called on to read. My hand dropped like bricks with youthful frustration. Sometimes it made a loud thump that was determined to be rude distraction. Out in the hall I was sent as a way of punishment and I had to sit there for long periods of time. sometimes right through lunch and recess. However, the walls were inscribed with words--prayers--scriptures----
