“After this book was suggested to me, I eagerly began reading it. After burning through the first few chapters, I was convinced this book was receiving five stars; it seemed impossible that it could turn out badly. After about one hundred pages of infomercial-esque teachings, it became monotonous. Have you ever seen the commercials where some hairy man (Ishmael) is presenting a product to a dimwitted person? "So, you put the apples in the juicer, and it turns into juice? Wow! How amazing!" That is how I felt about the student. Although the story has a great message about environmentalism, overall I thought it to be emphatic. It could have easily been simplified into a 50 page manifesto, which would have been much more interesting.”
