    That's very interesting actually, i am studying environmental psychology at the moment and stumbled across something like what you're talking about. the book i read was called Emotional Design: Why we hate or love everyday things. it delves more into the affect our surroundings have on us and how we perceive things to work. if it interests you, i would recommend it :)
