I love, love, love to read! I drive my husband crazy because I'm usually reading at least 3 books at a time. I'm also a very fast reader.

Right now, I'm enjoying anything... more »

    Ms. Lieu,

No, I was disappointed in Shreve's latest effort; the book just didn't have a whole lot of impact for me. Shreve's historically based fiction, All He Ever Wanted, Fortune's Rock, etc. tends to make a better impression on me as a reader. I am hoping that she reverts back to this genre. What other authors are your favorites?

Hi Suzanne, I had not realized I had been accepted to Shelfari yet because I didn't think I finished the registration process. Thanks for recommending Shelfari. I have been known to read more than one book at a time as well.

Right now I have a couple of things going. I am considering switching to WordPress for my blog so I am reading Lorelle VanFossen's Blogging Tips, then I also am reading "The Art of the Personal Essay" by Phillip Lopate. One of my passions is writing essays. I am taking a writing course with the Institute of Children's Literature.

I tend to be drawn to a good mystery and true-life non-fiction. I have a wide variety of interests right now.

Do you have a favorite mystery?

Similar to your reading habits, I am reading three books. The first is James Patterson's young adult book, "Maximum Ride." Another is "Politically Correct Bedtime Stories." It's a great laugh. The third one is "Losing Moses on the Freeway." by Chris Hedges. He is a wonderful writer with a great message.
