Better than I was expecting. He uses a vampire as metaphor for the dividing and breaking apart of community and interpersonal relationships. The story seems inspired by Richard Matheson's I Am Legend in places.

Either it is growing on me or his writing is getting better. I did not cringe at the tongue twister jokes or puns as much. Love the box of stupid people expansions.

Pretty simple puns and gags, but great for the artwork.

I am a little new to this comic. It gets fairly repetitive in places, mostly because I grow tired of puns quickly and they really stand out to me. Funny enough but not my favorite new comic I have tried. Redeeming because of its dark humor and cynicism at times.

Like a mixture of Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes and Addams Family sensibilities. All the strips are pretty much dialogue free as well which makes them even more interesting.

The jokes and commentary are still great, but some of the self referencing strips do not work on their own since the strip and its controversy are no longer daily.

The title character is portrayed as more of a villainous child mastermind rather than the usual good child who faces a problem. He does have some redeeming qualities though and I found myself rooting for him often. The adventure is much more confined than I was expecting but still fun and interesting.
There is an encoded message that runs throughout the book, printed at the bottom of every page. I wanted to take the time to decipher it, but the story kept pulling me away.

One of the first audio books I have listened to. Great fun with all of the narrator's character voices.

Great story, my only problem was the reading level. With a passable vocabulary you could solve the hangman type mystery that went on for about 6 chapters, and the exploration of new technologies near the end was a bit tedious. I was not this book's target audience though so maybe children would not have the same problems.

For the most part none of these are secrets. This book is basically a vocabulary grower with an interesting presentation. Most of the tips are just common sense, for instance: If you cannot think of the vocabulary word for toothbrush then describe that you want an item for cleaning teeth. I am not sure who would not have thought of that little "secret".
The children's word game was interesting, but once again just a vocabulary growth exercise. The phone numbers translating to descriptions was also interesting and along with the puns chapter probably the only thing that could be considered a secret.
