“ A flashback story that fills in the gaps between when Cassie left her mother and met Vlad. Your typical Buffy plot with the gore amped up. Very fun. ”
beelzefuzz is planning to read Four Eyes Volume 1: Forged in Flames.
beelzefuzz is planning to read Nancy in Hell.
beelzefuzz finished reading Friday The 31st 10 hours ago.
“ The first story was great and a really clever idea, but the second, longer story was cliched and a little trite at this point. I hope they get fresher ideas going forward, or at least creative spins. ”
beelzefuzz is now reading Love Stories For Dead People.
beelzefuzz is planning to read Abe Sapien Volume 2: The Devil Does Not Jest and Other Stories.
beelzefuzz finished reading Death by Sequel yesterday.
“ Better than the last book, this started to have longer stories and more continuity. I love a lot of the places this is going. It is clear that the writers love slasher films and are trying to... ” (see full review)
beelzefuzz is planning to read Are You Smart Enough to Work at Google?.
beelzefuzz finished reading First Cut 4 days ago.
“ This shows a lot of promise. It is not just the Buffy the Vampire Slayer rip-off I had anticipated. It explores new ground as far as slashers being a monster in their own right with all of the lore... ” (see full review)
beelzefuzz finished reading Hawkman: Allies & Enemies (Book 2) 4 days ago.
“ I do not know much about Hawkman, and I only read this because of Geoff Johns. This taught me very little about Hawkman and as far as Geoff Johns' writing, this was a pretty run of the mill story. ”

Thanks for your reply to War of Gifts.
Somebody else also told me that "Norwegian Wood" is not exactly a Murakami representative book. I read "Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman" and really liked it. I decided to go for "The Wind-up Bird Chronicle" instead of "Norwegian Wood" for now. :)Thanks for answering my question!
Thanks for your not recommending me read "Norwegian Wood" :) Is there any reason why I shouldn't read it? What would you recommend instead? Thanks.
I would recommend either All Families are Psychotic or The Gum Thief. Those two are my favorite.
Thanks for the note on Speaker of the Dead!
Hey, sorry for such a late reply. I took the Japanese Professional Test level 1 and I passed it. I actually studies so hard for it and I reviewed all the kanji and phrases to do. I also found some examples online, if you would like some, I will give you the link...(hope I can find it) Which level are you considering taking? I heard that there are new levels now that instead of 4, there are 5 levels....Those people are making the test so much more complicated....][
hey whats up
Haven't come up with anything. The Librarian team hasn't gotten back to me either. We've really had a deluge of edits over the past week and have been almost overwhelmed. I'll see if I can't drag a decision from them early this week. I will be away most of Monday so it may be mid-week before I get back to you. Don't know if many of them will be around today or not. Thanks for your patience,BC
The post that you added about the changing author (once he died) being carried on under the same name by others is something I can't answer right now. I'll see if I can't get the Librarian team to make a decision. Most were away for the holiday. Hope they (or most of them, anyway) are back now.If you are ever concerned about a post being overlooked, simply reply to your own post asking for and update or some attention to it. That will move it up in the "most recent" sort order and will help prevent it being lost in the "next page" forest. Don't be shy about that!Same goes, though, for creating new threads. If your questions doesn't fit neatly under an existing thread, definitely create a new one. The L&E group exists for the sole purpose of helping editors (especially those such as you who are so intent on learning and doing the work!.)BC
Hey, I love hearing from you!Oops - I had already combined'em. Want to do the separation thing? Up to you.BC
LOL! No Patch didn't leave because that project overwhelmed her. She left because she became so addicted to the editing work (she was on several projects) that she found herself ignoring her family. She didn't just leave Shelfari, she left the internet! She said she had to seriously examiner her priorities as indicated by how she spent her time. We're grateful for any work that you do. If any of the Bible work appears too complex, there is much MUCH more to be done on other titles and areas. Thanks for letting me know about the Jubilee editions. I'll leave it to be combined when the engineer can get to that task.BC
Ouch!BC
Oh - one other thing...The Special Project Team paid very close and special attention to the editions tabs of these Bibles. After the combination request is finished, I'm gonna ask that you finish up the edition tab with the changes that will result from the Combination. You'll see how the various subsets of languages are established. Thanks again,BC
Oh boy - you're workin' on The Bible.OK - first: one of the editions is so large that it will require an engineer to manually process the finishing touches of your request. If we approved these things using the tool, the system would, literally, grind to a halt. So, engineers do these in off-hours as they can find the time. It may be quite a while before you see the last of the editions shown as "approved." You'll see partial approvals until then.Second: (btw I am Dog Lover too) As I mentioned on the L&E group, cleaning up the gazillion and 12 editions and versions of the Bible on the Shelfari Catalog was the first "official" clean up project. We made a decision at that time to (and there is considerable controversy over this in ecumenical circles) equate "1611" versions of KJV with the "Authorized" version of the KJV so we combine those things. We do not, however, combine Authorized versions with just "KJV." They aren't the same thing. On occasion (especially old versions) did not include the words "authorized" as there was a kind of understanding that that was what was printed as KJV. That situation is definitely no longer the case so we look for the actual word - "authorized" and make that distinction.Third: I seem to recall that one of the editors on that special project had decided to make "African American Jubilee Editions" its own separate combined edition as she found there was considerable original content in these volumes. Just can't remember. I'm leaving that one as "undecided", in the hope that you will find an answer before the engineer does his thing. This will sit in the queue until then. Check out those threads about that Special Project on the L&E group and see if you can find her discussion. Her name (she is no longer online) was "Patch Dweller."Fourth: there were several editions in the request that were valid. I've combined them (you'll see a partial approval note.) When the engineer does his thing, that combined version will be included with the, er, "big one."Check out these series records that I created as a kind of model to show the title conventions and separate editions we tended to follow for all translations of the Bible during the special project. (They've since been converted to Community Lists now that we have that option.)http://www.shelfari.com/communitylists/Shelfari-Special-Project-Catalog-Clean-Up-The-Bible---King-Jameshttp://www.shelfari.com/communitylists/Shelfari-Special-Project-Catalog-Clean-Up-The-Bible---AuthorizedThanks!BC
I approved all your separation requests that I found in the queue. When you see the editions tab has been cleaned up, feel free to start title-editing away! (refresh the page often till you see that all cleaned up)We've had some difficulties with some separation requests - they carry the old description/title/author from the combined version to the newly separated version. Doesn't happen all the time but be on the look-out for that, ok?Thanks for all your work!BC
Hi,Open the editions tab of this book and I think you'll understand. You get to do some more separations!!! Aren't you excited?Usually, I post a public note to the requester when I reject an edit but I had major medical issues yesterday and messed up on several fronts. I should have let you know about this at the time I rejected it.Let me know if you have questions,BC aka DL
Hey, there! :)Thanks for the post!I've been on a house moving period, but now I'm back again. And how about that Palahniuk reading? How many times have you cursed me for having recommended it, while I was absent? :p
