Hello. I enjoy Rainy days, Absurdity, Bryan Fuller, Observing Others. Occasionally I fall asleep with a book covering my face.

"Her capacities go out one by one, and there's no night, no stars, only a cellar form which she can never walk out and nobody else can stay. She's given medicines which make her ill, but which stop her from... more »

    Hi,

Welcome to the Movie Lovers Group. Hope to see you as an active participant in the group; it's always great to hear from new voices. Please feel free to post your comments on new and old threads. We also have a recurring thread "Movies You've Watched During the Month". Please feel to post the movies you've seen on the small and big screen and your ratings.

    Have a wonderful day.

Hi, so The Bell Jar was so-so?
Saw you had a collection of Orwell essays that you are reading, I think he wries so beautifully, even the short collection of essays I have read of his are brilliant, what do you think?

I notice you've added Of Mice and Men. I finished reading The Grapes of Wrath (by the same author) a month or two ago. I really liked it. Steinbeck writes very beautifully.

I use to have a lickening for fantasy, but of late I haven't read much fantasy... I was reading a lot on mythology a year ago, but that has drifted somewhat as well, currently reading anything that attracts me non-specific genre. I loved Neil Gaiman's American Gods, thought it was fantastic, have you read it? I highly recommend it...

I think I read the first three pages of The Bell Jar a while back and thought I'd save it for holidays when I can read it outside in the sun... sometimes it is best to put down a book when it is getting messy and return to it with a clear mind, it's happened to me with several books. So, what genre do you enjoy reading most?
Nice avatar too! Orwell, along with Bret Easton Ellis, is my fave author... such a fine writer...

Hi, thanks for the friendship request. How's the Bell Jar going? It's been on my plan to read for some time now, but every time I pick it up I put it back down - heard it was a good book though. What do you think?

Hi Dorothy, Welcome and thank you for joining the Bibliophile club group. Hope you enjoy your new group. I did not read the book `the virrgin suicides' But, I did see the movie. After watching it, i was upset for weeks. I also saw a live play of Antigone when I lived in Tasmania. Was excellent. You have quite a variety of books, Dorothy. Hope you enjoy your new group, and that we will hear from you soon. Happy reading, Silvana

Your name is the title of a very strange Indie movie. Fascinating and disturbing all at the same time.

Hi there! I'm just dropping by to welcome you to The 100+ Book Challenge. The idea of the group is pretty much self explanatory - try to read 100 or more books in a one year period. If you do have any questions, please feel free to send a message to me or Tenia. In the meantime, good luck reaching your goal!
