I love to read. It's my passion. I have a reading room with lots of shelves and books and a comfy chair and loveseat. It has double doors that lead to our screened in porch and it's heaven. I also collect movie scores and listen to them while I am reading. I love all sorts of books and look forward to people recommendations and to making new... more »

    Hello,
I have been doing great and have not been reading much. I am going to be starting the new book by Lincoln Child called Terminal Freeze.
Hope all is well with you...

Hi! Haven't been around much--up to my eyeballs in executor stuff. Finally got the first set of papers filled out for the lawyer and sent off. Now I have to wait for something I have to sign so everything can go to probate court. Then we can leave. I don't think we're really going anywhere special since we've had to wait so long to leave. I think we're just going to make a straight line up to Connecticut with a few stops along the way to rest and refresh. Maybe on the way back we'll be sight-seerers, but I don't know. We were supposed to leave here around June 1, but the business with my brother's will really messed us up. Oh well.

    How's everything with you?

Oh, so sorry for everything you've had to go through w/ Grandma's death! As if the passing isn't hard enough to deal w/, then you've got some family drama as well?! Why do people pull this kind of crap? It's not about them!! You were completely justified in your actions! Of course your mom shouldn't have driven alone & if your aunt was put off about planning everything by herself, perhaps she should hear about phones & start to use them! Sorry for ranting, but funerals seem to bring out the worse in people instead of the best. You should be able to lean on each other, not fight & act childish.

Yes, I know what you mean about support from friends vs. family. So many of us feel that, too. I don't know why some are often nicer to strangers than relatives. (Well, in my case I DO know why...LOL) Sending you lots of hugs....

Hey Marie! It was so nice to see your note the other day. I've been wondering how you are & unfortunately, haven't gotten on FB much or even here for that matter. Good for you to have Brian plant flowers while you read! Maybe you should give workshops on how to train your husband do that!!

I'm OK, thanks. Doing much better. =) The weekend's almost here. Hope you have a great one!

Meeting in Sarasota on September 13 sounds absolutely wonderful! Do you have a restaurant in mind? Well, first I should ask if you've been to Sarasota before. Have you? Oh, I'm so excited!

Sorry to hear you're a little down. I can sure understand that. Did the layoffs increase your work load? Good luck with the walking! I've been riding my bike every day and I know I feel better doing that. Hope you're feeling better soon. I'm here if you need to talk.

Hey! Haven't seen you around much. How's everything?

I just made a zucchini, tomato and onion cassarole for dinner and I can hardly wait to eat. Maybe I can talk Clark into an early supper.

Sure is nice out today. I have been hooked on Twitter these days so my time on Shelfari is a little less. I am now reading Heart-Shaped Box by Joe hill.

Hi Marie. Thanks of the note. Things are good here. The warmer weather has arrived, and the snow is almost melted! Although it was chilly today :-( I believe the weekend is supposed to be quite nice. I'm hoping it stays nice - we haven't had any snow this month, and usually we get at least one significant snowfall in March.

Have you listened to any good soundtracks lately?

    Hi Marie,
I am so ready for spring and baseball.

Which Patterson books did you get?? I am going to start The Dangerous Days Of Daniel X. Looks like a different kind of read but I am going to give it a try.

Have a great rest of the weekend,

Hi Marie. I hope it's stopped snowing there! We received quite a bit of snow this past week, including yesterday, a day we were only supposed to get light flurries! Snow days are definitely perfect for staying inside with a good book.

What are you reading now? I'm reading The Memoirs of Cleopatra by Margaret George.

Had to check my favorites. It's called the Fourth Queen by Debbie Taylor. It's a historical fiction story that is very well written. I really enjoyed the writers style.

14 inches of snow... no thanks! Glad you had a reading day though. That's always enjoyable.
