I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of four. I love to read - currently my favorites are paranormal romance, fantasy and science fiction, but I also like mystery and christian fiction. I have read thousands of books, so my bookshelves are continuously being added to (both real and virtual).

This rollicking adventure starts off with a mystery twenty years old that develops into a rescue attempt requiring three generations. The plot moves quickly and is quite entertaining. The story is well written and definitely age appropriate.

A great murder mystery reminiscent of Agatha Christie where the crime details are simple and straightforward, but the motives of those involved are not, this romance centers around the policeman and reporter both attempting to solve the case. I appreciated the many details that solidified the time period involved and how that affected the characters themselves. After this definitely enjoyable read, I would have appreciated an even longer time spent with these two characters, but still felt that they were well developed for the story length.

An unusual premise leads to a funny, yet serious, romp through a dystopic future: when Jesse hears a voice in his head, he has no idea that the world as he knows it had ended. As he learns his new place as an alien slave, he must decide if he is he willing to risk it all to learn to fight. A well-written, fast read, the story leaves you wishing you could spend more time with the characters.

A great story for those who love tortured heroes/ damaged heroines and couples that overcome tremendous odds in order to reach their happily-ever-after

Another fun Argeneau/Rogue Hunter story - this one picks up the cliffhanger left at the end of Nicholas' story in the previous book. Namely, this book focuses on Nicholas' father, Armand, and the hunter sent to find out why three wives and one daughter-in-law have all died in "accidents". I enjoyed the story and liked the slight twist to the mystery - I was sure I knew whodunnit and was pleasantly surprised to discover that I was close but not quite correct.

Three cute romance stories set around the holidays - each with a completely unrelated storyline, so feel free to read one, two, or all three at a sitting. My favorite is Lori Foster's helping of holiday fun where misconceptions and misunderstandings get untangled to lead to a happily ever after for two co-workers.

An enjoyable anthology, this includes stories set in the past, time-traveling past and present, and set in the future, all with a common theme set around spring ceremonies. In each story a couple comes together in unexpected circumstances. Very hot! My favorite of the three was the futuristic story by Annie Windsor, that included a mostly female society meeting a mostly male society and reminding each of what is different between the genders!

The fourth installment of MacKayla Lane's story starts with a BANG! - and ends with another one. From being the first human known to recover from becoming Pri-ya, to discovering a secret too late to keep from making a terrible mistake, Mac continues to grow and change, becoming both more complicated and more interesting as her world becomes more and more dangerous and confusing. The cliffhanger ending will make the reader want to immediately reach for the final volume in this series.

While the writing of this story was quite good, it felt preachy and biased from the get-go. While science fiction often has a "white man bad, all others good" feel to it, this one seemed over the top and in your face about it from the very beginning.

I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the Mercy Thompson series - I enjoyed seeing where her relationship with Adam and the rest of the pack is going, as well as the interesting turns in Samuel's life. The danger/villain part of the story is enough to keep you guessing, but the way all the characters relate to each other and work together (or not) is what really made this book for me.
