Uh oh, are you being sucked into the Twilight series? Let me know what you think, I haven't read them yet, and I've been wary to pick up the first book.

I would like to introduce my debut novel, Secret Betrayals for your reading pleasures.

Meet Jasmine, Toya and Chante – three new millennium women doing it for themselves – by any means necessary.

Jasmine Reeves has it all – a good education, a cool job, a man who loves her and a man she loves too. Unfortunately they’re not one in the same. After falling hard for her friend's husband, Jasmine has to figure out what direction her life is going to take. Should she stay with her faithful but lackluster boyfriend of five years or should she allow herself to continue to be played by the man who has her heart - even if it means stabbing her girl in the back? When what happens in the dark ultimately comes to light, will she hide her nasty secrets or will she expose them for the world to see, despite the consequences?

Toya Johnson loves the luxuries of life and has no problem using the world’s oldest profession to obtain them. However, when she unexpectedly finds the man of her dreams, she can’t seem to shake the past that keeps coming back to haunt her. Addicted to the money and power that accompany her lifestyle, Toya keeps telling herself that she’ll only do it “one more time”. Will she ever get out of “the life” and allow herself to experience the “happily ever after” she's always wanted or will the past refuse to let her go, taking her down with it?

Chante Summers has a handsome and successful husband who provides for her in every way. What more could a girl want, right? Unfortunately some people are never satisfied. Bored with the housewife routine and a husband whose bedroom skills are less exciting than a can of paint, Chante has no choice but to satisfy herself in other ways. But when the close calls and drama become too much to handle, will she be able to give up her extra curricular activities or is she too addicted to thrill, even if it threatens to destroy her?

When lust, deceit, and betrayal collide, will these three women have what it takes to overcome it? Or will they be destroyed by the flames of their own disturbing, dangerous, and possibly deadly Secret Betrayals.

Read the first six chapters of Secret Betrayals on my MySpace blog at http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll&friendID=100687122

    Michael Collier…

You left me here without a father figure.

Who would have known you’d go before I got bigger?

Birthdays, holidays, and seasons have gone.

Did God take you intentionally to see me do wrong?

Memories of you in my mind aren’t close to visual.

It’s like I knew you, but lost you when it all got critical.

A black child with no father—it’s typical.

In your case, to me, it’s sort of pitiful,

but I forgive you for losing direction.

Wish I was old enough to tell you sex is a weapon,

but I couldn’t, and now it’s too late,

so I’ll see you when I get there and greet you at heaven’s

gate!(Wrap it up) R.I.P Michael Collier.

    Hi Raquel,
I haven't been on Shelfari for a few days because we're visiting afriends in AZ (I'm from MD.) Tomorrow five of us will drive to Mexico and stay for four days. I've never been to Mexico.
Novel authors that I really like are Kaye Gibbons, Eliz. Berg, Thrity Umrigar, and Anne Tyler. If you go back to my shelf, you can find tags for each author, go to the tagged shelf and see if I've written reviews. I haven't written reviews for all of them, but for some.
    Have a nice day,
    Karen

Hi! I love the fever series is one of my favorites, I would highly recommend it, but if you don't like cliffhangers I advise you to wait until the last books is publish, that would be some time next year, this is supernatural series and I would called it more of a urban fantasy than a paranormal romance, there is a lot sexual tension between to two main characters, it makes it a great read, the first book is good ( Darkfever ) but it gets a lot better after that.
