Hello there cutie! What are you reading? I am reading "A Garden of Reading" an anthology of essays about gardening. I always get interested in gardening in the winter! In the summer it is too hot. :-)

    Hi:

I thought you might be interested in a contest. It’s wacky, creative and ‘killer’ fun. ‘Create a Corpse’ Contest lets you name a character in my suspense novel Divine Justice. Of course, you guessed it—the character dies

For contest details, just scroll over the following URL, copy and paste into your browser. This is a great contest for avid readers who’d like to be part of the process. I look forward to receiving your entries. :)

Wow!!!!! I loved Second Glance. What an amazing story. I loved the way it went back in time in the middle and then came back to the present. The way the characters ended up being connected was incredible. I am so happy I chose to read this book next. I absolutely loved it. Another Jodi masterpiece!

I see one Dominick Dunne on your shelf. His books can be a lot of fun. Might I suggest The Two Mrs Grenville, An Inconvenient Woman and, as a third choice, A Season in Purgatory. Great summer reads. Best to you,
    Shawn

Thanks a million and one for the recommendations. I went out today and got Second Glance. I started reading it and wow, it is extremely good. I am loving it so far. I truly could not believe the twist at the end of My Sister's Keeper. Jodi sure knows how to spin her novels. It was absolutely amazing. I would have to say that so far My Sister's Keeper is my favorite too. I will let you know how I liked Second Glance as soon as I am done reading it. I just know it is gonna be another great book by Jodi.

Jodi is by far my favorite author and I am truly addicted to her books. I would truly appreciate a recommendation from you. Thank you so much. Jen

Thanks for the note, I'd write more but I have to go patrol all the trash cans in the house looking for toilet paper rolls, I like to make sure they are good and chewed before we throw them out to make for easier recycling you know. Love you, Sam

Hi. Thanks for inviting me to be your friend. Of course, I accepted right away. I had a long day at work today.. but I was able to get some good reading done during a couple of my breaks. {always a good thing} I sure wish I could take my puppies to work with me. I always miss them when I'm away from them. It was nice an warm here today.. I was so surprised! I actually was able to take my coat off while I was outside in the sun. It seems like ages since I was outside without a coat. Have you ever noticed that winter seems to be really long once the holidays are over? As it gets close to Valentine's Day.. I start wanting warmer weather. It was wonderful feeling that spring like warmth in the air today.

Hi sweetie, I just heard about a book from a friend here that I think you would like. It is called "Bark if You Love Me" by Louise Bernikow. She is a writer who adopts an abandoned boxer, sounds really cute and funny. Also, I discovered another site from Mimi Smartypants (do you read her blog?) Itis called Book Mooch and you list books you are willing to trade and look for books others have that you want. I think it is a better deal than what Half Price pays...which is next to nothing. I listed some books and immediately it came up that four people wanted four of them. So I will mail them off today and that gives me enough points to "order" four books from others that I want. I listed the Bark if you love me book so as soon as someone lists it, I should get it. Anyway, check out Book Mooch! Love you tons!

Yes.. My mom and I have been sharing the love of reading from the moment I took my first breath. I am having the same problem trying to remember all the books I have read over the years. Half of my books are in storage because when we moved to England I didn't want to go over our weight allowance.. and you know how heavy books can be.. so I split my books into two groups.. the ones I had read and the ones I still needed to read. So you guessed it.. all my books I had read went ito storage and the ones I hadn't got to yet came to England. Each day I try to remember three more that I can write my opinion on and put up on my shelf. It is good fun.. Thank you for writing back so quickly. I haven't read any of Jodi Picoult's books.. but Nineteen Minutes sounds like an interesting title. Right now I'm reading Mayflower. It is up on my Reading List.. where I always put the book I am reading at the moment.

Hi.. I just had to write to you. I see that you and your mom are having fun putting your books on your shelves here at shelfari just like my mom and I are having fun together. We try to add a few books each day. It is so fun.. and I find that I am now never anywhere without a book.. always trying to add that one more book to my shelf. ~smile~ I also have two puppies.. well they are two years old now.. but they will always be babies to me.. who follow me wherever I go when I'm in the house. Their names are Dreamer and Tranquility.. what are your dogs names?
