    Hi!
Long time since we exchanged "Current reads" :) Yes - "The Wizard of the Crow" is a wonderful book. A definite keeper! I am currently reading "Cannery Row" by John Steinbeck. Cheers!

    Hi Sugreava!
I am currently reading "The Wizard of the Crow" by Ngugi Wa Thiong'o - I have read around a 100 pages so far and it is a very subliminal, entertaining book. It makes me want to laugh at and at the same time ruminate on the content. The book is a tome though - around 750+ pages. Cheers! - Sujatha

I must confess that I have not started the book yet. The meeting is not for two weeks. I tend to hold off til the last minute. This group meets for the socialization(the book is an excuse).

    Hi Sugreva,
Well i took a detour. I've just read Brother I'm dying by Edwidge Danticat. I recommend it to you. She is a Hatian author and the book is NF Bio. I learned a lot about the situation in Haiti regarding immigration. Now I am reading Suspended Sentences by Mark McWatt. Could not get into Alentjo Blue but will try again late. What are you reading?

What I would recommend about India is The Space between us by Thrity Umrigar. Have you read it?

I've just started Alenjo Blue. I read Brick Lane by this same author and like it. I've read Rohinton Mistry books about India and liked them better.
