This second book in the "Twilight" saga left me breathless - The interaction between the three main characters, Bella, Edward and Jacob is replete with a full repertoire of the human condition of spirit - Self-sacrifice, love, agony, selfishness, hate, despair, joy, loneliness, surrender, hope, trust, loyality and several other that escape my thought at the moment. It is beautifully written.

The story has a complexity that really caught me unaware - I is more than a simple love story - The love between hero & heroine is a given - but their love for their families and the bonds that hold them to their ideals and commitments is also a strong emotion in this story - They are both torn between their loyalty to those families and friends and their love for one another - Also - Edward's family is steadfast in their love for him - dismissing the danger to themselves because they want his happiness and are willing to commit to a united effort to ensure his happiness - Bella's father is eaqually loyal in his love for his daughter - which is something so precious that it deserves the reverance implied in this the first of Stephanie Meyer's books of the "Twilight Saga" - Carlisle's devotion to his family and the love portrayed for his "family" as well as the love he holds for all life is another compelling theme that is prominent in this story - I consider this book and indeed the series well worth reading - The age of the reader is not a factor to be considered - All readers may enjoy this saga

The continuing story of Bella, Edward & Jacob, their spiritual, physical & emotional challenges - Their love for their families and each other in such contridiction - Yet those same emotions and challenges are so absolute - A breathtaking story beautifully told.

The final book in the "Twilight" saga left me breathless - Yet satisfied - Beautifully witten - The Wedding - The Honeymoon - The resulting pregnancy - The Birth - The Conversion - The new treaty born of the love of two men for one woman - The Imprinting - In the final chapters the analogies drawn are spectacular - The coorperation between species, ethnicities, and varying belief systems, came together for the greater good of the whole, in the triumphant climatic confrontation between the Voultari and the assembled Vampires who stood with the Cullen Coven & Quileute Wolves to protect truth & innocence - The birth of a new hope for all mankind to live in peace - secure in the knowledge that there will always be those who are willing to defend, fight for, and if necessary, die for that peace to endure. Commendations to Stephanie Meyer
