I've bought the first in the Shopaholic series. Now to find time to read it! I'm reading The First of Sequels (I think that's right) by Jasper Fforde with A Summer at Tiffany's and Shopaholic waiting in the wings.

    Hi Miz Tabs!!
Read Water for Elephants right after you guys left---loved it! Fantastic use of point of view for pathos and humor and an eventually riveting plot line. And you're going to love the elephant! Best ending---ever! (The frame story becomes a kind of Waiting for Godot [except it's the circus] while the main story is Ringling Bros' version of Romeo and Juliet---if they had lots of pets.)
Some uber-grossness but I'll have that all blocked out of my tiny mind soon---heehee!

I know, it was amazing! I lent the book to Maggie and she's reading it now--if they make a movie I hope it doesn't come out as a cheesy lifetime! P.s. I feel bad for Clare--it seems like she is always waiting for Henry. First she has to wait to meet him and then she has to live decades without him afterwards. And I wonder what happened to Alba...

Have you read the new Tolkien? My son bought and read---said not too bad after you get through the rather lengthy exposition! Give Maggie a hug for me!

I think I am enjoying this a little too much! I believe I spent something like 4 hours on here yesterday filling out my bookshelf. My addictive personality is getting a workout-haha. Thanks for asking to be my "friend". Carrie
