(snickers) it sounds like the decor in the apt I grew up in...mom never really got the 70's out of her system, or maybe it was the 60's w/ all that horrid danish modern, the orange and red striped day-glo wallpaper in the kitchen w/ brown lino, and the bald brown rug...(shakes head) people back then were entirely too attached to a color that looks like smeared crap...next time you're here I'll show you pics, you'll laugh your head off...hey, see this avatar pic? would it be possible for you, on any of your photo programs, to change the background color? all that white? blech...could it be changed to black or dark blue or dark green, or hell, even red? I want that pic on my desktop, but all that white is freaking blinding...

(grins) I'm being seriously computer lazy, all I want to do lately is read the five million books sitting in a very tall and precarious tower that creaks and threatens to crush the life out of me if I dont make a dent in it soon...I'm also toting the laptop into my room where, as you know, there's no phone jack, which means no connection to the internet, which means no shelfari to distract me from this damn book that will never be written in my lifetime...that's actually what's worse than chocolate...this place and the feverish need to add books, and add yet more books, it inspires...duck fetuses? oh, yuck and double yuck...(runs back to her cave to eat Capt Crunch...)
no need to worry, I'm just super lazy lately, been burrowed in my cave reading and working...and phyllis keeps summoning me to the castle, dragging me out of my lovely cave, to watch TrueBlood on HBO, based on a series of books we both like...she's over the moon w/ it...snake dangles? yicks...
